My name is Michael, and I am running this tiny domain. Currently based in Yokohama, Japan, I enjoy travelling around the world - with a major focus on nature and those special places. Having a strong preference for moving lightweight, I had previously always stayed away from anything beyond a simple pocket camera.
Recently though I got hooked on Astrophotography following a trip to New Zealand and realizing how much room for improvement there is when comparing my casual shots to some more advanced photographs taken with proper skill and gear. The outcome is the start of this little project of trying to upgrade from a pure amateur to an enthusiast. This web portal is mainly just helping to document the progress, all images are hence simply sorted by capture date.
